Album Ranking - The Who (1965-1978)
/A ranking of The Who studio albums released between 1965 and 1978 from worst to best
Author: Aidan McKenna
9: Who Are You (1978)
Nothing to write home about
8: Tommy (1969)
Evolutionary music but a bit weird in all honesty
7: A Quick One (1966)
Under-rated but a bit inconsistent in terms of quality
6: Live at Leeds (1970)
You can feel the personality of the band
5: My Generation (1965)
A really good first album, sets the tone
4: Who’s Next (1971)
An all-round good album, the go to classic rock album of the 60’s
3: The Who By Numbers (1975)
The most under-rated album, so underappreciated
2: The Who Sell Out (1967)
One of my favourite concept albums, they didn’t take it too seriously
1: Quadrophenia (1973)
The best concept album ever made in my opinion, very relatable story, subtle drums and great guitar
