Album Review

SAINT PHNX are a Scottish band that have around 500,000 monthly listeners. The band has two members, Stevie and Alan Jukes. The band also joined Lewis Capaldi on his US tour. 

‘DDMN’ is the bands debut album all the songs are written very well and the majority of them are quite upbeat with one or two exceptions. There are also some kind of dark lyrics in their songs, sometimes these lyrics are quite obvious other times you need to listen to the song a few times to understand or realise these darker lyrics.

Favourite Song

On this album I have two favourite songs which are Scream and Violence and Spiders. The main reason for these both being picked is that I like the lyrics to both of them and I have listened to these songs the most off of the album.

Least Favourite Song

My least favourite song is Up To The Stars. The reason for this being my least favourite is the fact that it’s quite slow which isn’t really what I listen to as I like faster songs but other than it being slow it is a good song.

Further Recommendation

Another thing I would recommend from the band is their song ‘Reload’ which was released in 2016.

In my opinion this is the best TV show i have watched on Netflix so far, I highly recommend Money Heist to anyone who wants something new and different. It truly is a masterpiece; it is certainly a 10/10!!

Review

Money Heist was released on the 2nd of may 2017 on Netflix and was created by Álex Pina.

This show does contain strong language and violence. There are three seasons officially but there are 4 parts.

Money Heist is about 8 strangers who have a criminal history and who have never met, their main objective is to steal 1.2 billion euros from the royal mint of Spain. The plan has been made by The Professor and as the heist is going on, he manipulates and plays mind games with the police.

The show keeps you engaged in what will happen next as their are lots of twists and turns, Money Heist also has many lovable characters and disliked characters as many shows do but this show has characters that you may feel a connection to, and whether you can see yourself as them or you just love their character, you will often be left questioning what is going to happen to them.

This show will leave you on the edge of your seat and leave you wanting more.

I would recommend this album as it has a good variety of songs and it is also one of those
albums that you struggle to pick a favourite and least favourite song. The songs are so well
written, and I like the mix in it all.

Album Review

Twenty one pilots are an American band that have around 22 million monthly listeners.
The band only has two members, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun but lead singer Tyler Joseph
often plays bass guitar, ukulele or piano during songs.

‘Trench’ is the bands 5th album, the songs come from Tyler’s own experiences. There is also
a narrative to this album, Joseph has come out and said “Trench is a world… and at the very
bottom of the world is a city called Dema. Dema is the city in this record, in this narrative,
I’m from and I feel the need to escape, to leave…”

Favourite Song

My favourite song off of the album is ‘Jumpsuit.’ The reason for this is because I love the
bassline in this song, and I like how it transitions into the next song ‘levitate.’

Least Favourite Song

Although it’s hard to pick a least favourite one I will have to go with ‘The Hype’ because I
have listened to it less than all the other the other songs.

I would recommend this album as I enjoyed listening to it. The album songs are well written. If you don’t mind listening to songs with sensitive topics I would recommend you go and listen to it.

Album Review

Badflower are an American band that have around 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify. They are
a band that are very straightforward and don’t hesitate to voice opinions this even applies
to some of the songs on this album. It is a high-energy album which has diversity in the
tracks, but the album consistently flows.

‘OK, I’M SICK’ is Badflower’s debut album. The album overall has a good variety of songs,
some are upbeat and energetic while others are slower and in some cases have a sad
undertone. There are also songs which touch on more sensitive subjects, an example of this
is the song ‘Ghost’ which is about suicide. I enjoyed listening to the album and I liked the
variety of songs in it.

Favourite Song

My favourite song on the album is ‘Girlfriend.’ The reason for it being my favourite is that I really like the guitar in it and I also really like the way the song changes, the pitch and rhythm changes at certain points.

Least Favourite Song

My least favourite song is ’24.’ Although it is still a good song it is my least favourite on the album because it is the slowest one on the album I don’t mind slow songs some are okay however this is just slightly too slow for my liking.
